OLLIE RICE
1919-1999 
 
Nippa resident Ollie Mae Rice, 80, died Monday, June 21, 1999
at her residence.

Mrs. Rice was born January 24, 1919, in Johnson County to the
late Elro and Stella VanHoose Rice.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Rice,
on June 28, 1987.

Surviving are three sons, Leon Seth Rice, both of Nippa, and
Francis Rice of Lousia  two daughters, Kay Fairchild of
Oil Springs and Stella McCarty of Nippa; one brother,
Everett VanHoose of Huntington, West Virginia; three sisters,
Lorraine Mason and Ruth Cast of Lowmansville, and
Velma Cassell of Bluefield, Virginia; and 13 grandchildren
and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 24, at Tom's Creek
Freewill Baptist Church with James Kelly Caudill,
Harold Stevens and Dick VanHoose officiating.

Burial was in Rice Cemetery at Nippa, with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of  arrangements.
