ONE GRANDSON SURVIVES

Mrs. Mintie Rice, 77, Leander, Ky., died December 19, at the
home of her niece Mrs. Eschell Lewis at West Van Lear,
following an illness of several months.

Born August 28, 1875 at Leander, Ky., she was the daughter of
Wiley and Martha Fairchild Rice. She was preceded in death 18
years ago by her husband, Y. B. Rice.

She is survived by one grandson, Ellis Rice, Glasgow, Ky.

Funeral services were held at the Beechwall United Baptist
Church December 21 with the Rev. Millard O'Bryan officiating.

Burial was made in the Rice Cemetery at Leander under the
direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
