Lindsey E. Rice 

1940-2000 Jones-Preston Funeral Home is 
in charge of arrangements for Lindsey E. 
Rice, 60, who died Thursday, September 
28, 2000 in Grove City, Ohio. Mr. Rice 
was born April 12, 1940, in Johnson 
County, to the late Dewey Rice and Ollie 
Conley Rice. He was a truck driver and a 
U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include one 
son, Clayton Rice of New Mexico; one step-
daughter, Stephanie Alice Morgan, of 
Columbus, Ohio; four brothers, Charles B. 
Rice, of Tip City, Ohio, John R. Rice of 
East Point, Caul Rice of Huber Heights, 
Ohio, and Douglas Rice, of West Van Lear; 
three sisters, Hermalee Andy of 
Garrettsville, Ohio, Garnett Moore, of 
Dayton, Ohio, and Helen Violet, of Urbana, 
Ohio; three grandchildren and one great-
grandchild. Graveside services will be 
held Saturday, September 30, at 1 p.m. 
at Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville 
with Leroy Auxier officiating.
