Katie M. German Rice    
 
Katie M. German Rice, 78, of Louisville, died Thursday at her 
daughter's residence. She was a Methodist. Survivors include 
her sons, Earl and Michael Hill; daughters, Joretha Jackson 
and Gaynell Williams; brother, Herbert C. German of Tampa, FL; 
one stepdaughter; two stepsons; seven grandchildren; and five 
great-grandchildren. The body was cremated. There will be a 
memorial service at 6 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2003, at Hathaway 
& Clark Funeral Home, 2718 Virginia Ave. Visitation with the 
family will be from 5-6 p.m. Monday.
