IDA LEE RICE Mrs. Ida L. Rice Passes Sunday Services Thursday For Local Resident Mrs. Ida Lee Rice, 68, died Sunday in a local hospital following an illness of six years. She had been a resident of this city for ten years. Born at Ivyton on Dec. 7, 1888, she was the daughter of Smith and Millie Montgomery Fletcher. Her husband, Luther B. Rice, preceded her in death July 27, 1941. She is survived by two sons, Herschell Rice, Middletown, O., and Luther B. Rice, Fairborn, Ohio, and two daughters, Mrs. Homer Castle, city, and Mrs. Henry Webb, Middletown, Ohio. Other survivors are two brothers, Lacy Fletcher, Denver, and Callie Fletcher, Rising Sun, Ind., and three sisters, Mrs. Millie Rice, Denver, Mrs. Lloyd Adams, Slayersville and Mrs. June Fletcher, Portsmouth, O. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Collista Freewill Baptist Church with Adron Davis and Claude Preston as officiating ministers. Music will be by the Toms Creek Quartet. Burial will be made in the family cemetery at Hager Hill under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home. Paintsville Herald Wednesday 2-6-1957
