German Rice, 88, 
Retired Farmer
Dies Tuesday

German Rice, 88, died at his home at Leander, Ky., at 10:15
p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 1952, after an illness of 10 days.

A life-long resident of Leander, he was the son of Wiley and
Martha Rice. Mr. Rice, a retired farmer, was a member of the
Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Millie Fletcher Rice, one son, Oscar
Rice of Louisa, one sister, Mrs. Minta Rice, Leander, one
granddaughter and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 7, 1952, at 2:00
p.m. at the home with Rev. J.C. Hager, of Louisa,
officiating.

Burial will be in the family cemetery under the direction of
the Paintsville Funeral Home.
