LORA PELPHREY Mrs. Lora Pelphrey, 59, died Monday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lucy Conley, of Hager Hill, following an illness of three months. Born January 18, 1895, she was the daughter of the late Bascom and Frankie Fletcher Rice. She was a member of the West Van Lear Missionary Baptist Church. She was predeceased in death January 29, 1950, by her husband, Clark Pelphrey. Surviving are her two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Conley, Hager Hill, and Mrs. R. Caudill, city, and one brother Luther Rice, Ashland. Funeral services were held at 1:30 today at the Hager Hill Holmes Tabernacle with Merida Wiley and Grover Fannin as officiating ministers.
