Helen Rice Hogan, 76

Helen Rice Hogan, 76, Bardstown, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003. She was a 
native of Marion County, a homemaker, a member of Mill Creek Baptist 
Church and had worked at Heaven Hill Distillery for a short time.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Henry Rice; second 
husband, James E. Hogan; a son, James Leslie "J.L." Rice; her parents, 
J.W. and Minnie Mullins Albertson; a brother, Buddy Albertson; and a sister, 
Joyce Boone.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Reed, Bardstown; a son, John C. Rice, 
Cox's Creek; two stepdaughters, Patricia Morgan, Louisville, and Kaeta 
Longacre, Whiteland, Ind.; four grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral 
Home with burial in Bardstown Cemetery. The Rev. Chris Holmes will officiate.

Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Greenwell-Houghlin Northside funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
