EMMA DELONG Mrs. W.M. DeLong Succumbs Thursday Services Saturday For Well Known Van Lear Resident Mrs. Emma Hyden DeLong, 61, died at a local hospital at 10:45 a.m. April 10, 1952 after an illness of several years. Born June 29, 1890, the daughter of Sam and Alice Rice Hyden, she was a life-long resident of West Van Lear. She was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, W.M. DeLong, two sons and three daughters; Teddy Delong, West Van Lear, Harry Delong, Paintsville, Mrs. Lindsey Music, Wabash, Indiana; Mrs. Willie Franklin, West Van Lear, Mrs. Homer Green, West Van Lear, also the following brothers and sisters; Harry Hyden, Cliff, Ky., Taylor Hyden, Van Lear, Ky., Edgar Hyden, East Point, Ky., Mrs. John Delong, East Point, Ky., and Mrs. Bred Reed, East Point, Ky. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 12, at the Christian Church, East Point, with the Rev. S.C. Honeycutt officiating. The Paintsville Quartett sang several hymns.
