Drivers and Cell Phones....

When driving a vehicle, when did it become MORE important to do other things then concentrate on driving? Today's drivers find it more important to talk on the phone and text message each other then trying to avoid an accident. I see it all of the time when I'm going to work, someone on the cell phone and looking at their PDA. I guess it is more important for them to talk on the phone then live another day.

The other day, as I am driving home, a teenager in a compact car is all over the road. I pull up next to him and he is test messaging on his cell phone. So I stay next to him and just ride in the same position (we are the only cars on the road). When he discovers my car is next to him, he over compensates and goes into the other lane. He was oblivious to the situation, he continued texting. If his parents only knew.

So the next time you are driving and you have to make or take a phone call on your cell phone (or text message someone), is that phone call or text message worth your life or your families life?

I know already, It just seems like they are clueless to the danger they are, Not only to themselves but to everyone else on the road.
