Hey minna-chan! Its me, *duh* and I have yet another story *ditto to the duh*. This one is a songfic based on the song "Crush" by Mandy Moore. To make it fit the story I have taken out some parts(a lot) of the song, so dont be surprised. *who cares* This time, the ** person is my alternate self, who is quiteumodd? Pessimistic? Something like that. Disclaimer. Anyhoo, here the story is! (An is authors notes) Oh! I figured it out! Today Im cynical!!! A sightseer walked through the serene neighborhood, reveling in the early morn calm, when an earsplitting shriek caused birds to take flight and various cats(talking reincarnated cats that have memories from past lives not included) to harmonize. "Im latelatelate!!!!" Usagi sat in bed and wailed at Luna. The black cat glanced at the clock. Grinning like the cat who got the cream, she announced "Almost, but not quite Usagi." Jabbing her tail at the clock for emphasis, she announced, "You could still be on time if you hurried." Glaring at the know-it-all feline, Usagi jumped out of bed. "In the name of the Moon, Ill" She was cut off by her mother, Ikuko. "Usagi your bus is here!" "Ahhhhhh!" Like a tornado, the blond threw on her clothes, grabbed her backpack and ran out the door, completely oblivious to the obvious. Luna waited. Usagi ran back in, grabbed her shoes then ran out again. As she threw open the front door, she saw her bus go by. "NO!! This cant be happening to me!" Running down the street, she had a sudden thought. *I do this every day. I always waste time chasing the bus and never make it on. Why dont I just turn around and go my usual route?* (ANfancy that. -_~) So thinking, she turned around, and ran the other way. *Al. Most. There.!* She panted. She could see the school in front of her. It was horrible andblack and green plaid? She ran right into, guess who, Mamoru. Falling on the ground, she glared up at him. *Heeeeeesssss soooooo cuuuuttttee!* She sobbed to herself. *Why does he have to be sooooo perfect!* "Watch where youre going Mamoru-baka!" "You should talk Odango Atama." He smirked. "At least I dont fail school. Or fall down every day. Oooorrr," He said, drawing out the word, "At least I dont eat twice my body weight in one sitting." You know everything I'm afraid of You do everything I wish I did Scrunching up her face, Usagi knew he had hit her faults head on. The worst part was, he possessed none of the same flaws! As far as she could tell, he had almost no imperfections! "Yooouuuurrree soooo meeeeeeeeaaaaaaan you..youyou baka!" She wailed, releasing her anguish to the world. "Jeez, lower the decibels Odango!" (AN: such a clich, I know, but it had to be used, ;P) Just then Usagi heard the first bell for school ring. Tearing off, she barely made it to class on time. All that day, she couldnt get Mamoru off her mind. *All the girls fawn over him, and the boys look up to him. It isnt fair!* Everybody wants you, everybody loves you *I could tell him how I feltbut he would tease me about it relentlessly! I wish he liked me* she thought wistfully, staring into space. I know I should tell you how I feel *If only* I wish everyone would disappear *I mean, I even act different around him!* It was lunch and Usagi was sitting with her friends on the grass. Turning around to Makoto, she asked, "Do you think Im mean? I mean, truly, honestly." Puzzled, the brunette replied with a slow "Nooooowhy do you ask?" "Well, do you think I am mean around Mamoru?" Laughing, Minako interjected her two cents"Well of course Usagi! You two go at it like cats and dogs!" Giggling, Usagi knew that was what they probably looked like. Everytime you call me, I'm too scared to be me Sighing, Usagi wished she had the nerve to tell Mamoru what she felt, cause, *I mean, the worst thing that could happen would be that he teased me some more and I get embarrassed! But the best thing* Sighing happily and drifting off into dream world, she tuned out her friends. And I'm too shy to say Ooh, I got a crush on you (crush on you) I hope you feel the way that I do The school bell rang for the end of the day, releasing the students from its grip. Usagi grinned blithelysoon she would see Mamoru! Hurrying over to the Crown Arcade with her friends, Usagi stepped into the coolness of the store compared to the heat outside. Spotting Mamoru she stalked over, mind planning the perfect words. "So, Mamoru-baka, having fun enjoying your daily, and only, joycoffee?" I get a rush when I'm with you Ooh, I've got a crush on you Eyes snapping merrily, he turned towards her. "Actually, teasing you seems to be the highlight of my day, seeing as you have so much to tease about. *Ouch* She thought playfully. "Glad to provide for your entertainment. But gee, what would your mother say if she saw you now?" Instantly she saw the light fade from his eyes. Not looking at her, he muttered, "Actually, both my parents died when I was young." He turned away, and Usagi could tell he regretted his words. *I wishhe just needs a hug right now, butIm sure he would tease me later for itstill" Impulsively she walked over to him and gave him the hug she had been debating over. Instantly she knew it was the right thing to do, as she parted from him reluctantly. You know I'm the one you can talk to And sometimes you tell me things that I don't want to know I just want to hold you Did he seem unwilling to let her go, or was that just her imagination? I wonder, could you ever think of me that way "Thanks" He whispered. Ooh, I wish I could tell somebody But there's no one to talk to Nobody knows I've got a crush on you A crush on you, I got a crush Biting her lip, she glanced over at her friends. Luckily they were talking and didnt notice her lapse in "anger" towards her so called nemesis. *If they only knew.* She giggled to herself quietly. Slipping away, she joined her friends. Later that night she, due to the constant nagging of Luna and her mother, started her *dreadful* *hateful* HOMEWORK! Spreading her papers in front of her on the desk she stared at the math problems. *huh??* Knowing that she needed to get the homework done but also needed help, she called Ami, the one least likely to get side-tracked. After a while on the phone she hung up. Suddenly she started dancing all over the house; "I get it, I get it, I really really get it!!!" Ignoring Shingo she sashayed up to her room, attempting and succeeding at completing the assignment. The next day she skipped to the Arcade after school, completely disregardful of her surrounding. Bashing into a certain Mamoru, she smiled happily up at him. "I would yell at you Mamoru-san, but I got a 91% on my math quiz and Im too happy! A *91*, do ya hear!" She squealed exuberantly. "I knew you could do it." Ignoring her confused expression, Mamoru continued. "Its just that you dont try hard enough, cause you certainly are smart." Gleefully smiling widely, he announced, "But I take my grades in strideyou have cause to celebrate!" You say everything that no one says But I feel everything you're afraid to feel "Butbut you teased me about my grades!" Usagi said, shocked and ignoring the jab on her grades. "Its fun teasing you." Startled, the girl stared. *Could he possiblylikeme?* He muttered something under his breath. "What was that?" A breathy-voiced Usagi said, leaning in. (AN: can you smell a tease?) Blushing *hes soooo cute when he blushes!* he repeated the phrase a little louder. Grinning like a Cheshire cat, she took a step closer and repeated her question. Then, very faint, she caught the words. "youre so *cute* when youre embarrassed." Throwing caution to the wind, she flung her arms around his neck. Standing on her tip-toes, she looked up through her lashes and repeated her question for the last time. Mamoru was not long surprised"So, you want to play that game, huh?" Giggling, she did not have to nod. His lips met hers, and she melted. She was not able to form a coherent thought, her legs collapsed and if it hadnt been for his hold she would have fallen. She was in heaven. The two did not notice the crowd they were gathering, standing almost directly in front of the Arcade. Motoki glanced at them, then did a retake. Rei gaped, pointing towards the couple. The other girls followed her gaze and gawked. The two enemies, who couldnt stay in the same room, kissing? All except Minako; she just smiled and giggled, seemingly unsurprised. The two finally stopped for air, clinging to each other, with heads resting on the others. Occasionally meeting for a kiss, they smiled. "Usako." "Mamo-chan." I will always want you, I will always love you Sooohowdyouguys like it??
