Hi guys, if you are interested in what the fellowhip in my school is all about, you could read the 'passage' below. Honestly, I didn't write this for the sake of this homepage. Actually, this is a year report of what the Youth Fellowship has done during the school year 1999-2000 and has to be published in our school's magazine. Due to some technical problems, the photos are not ready to be uploaded here yet. Please be patient!!

And by the way, you may wonder why I have chosen this background for this page. "Fellowship" and "Lambs"...seems to be unrelated. However, it is wriiten in the Bible that Jesus is our Shepherd, and we are His lambs. Therefore I have used this background for the fellowship page. Understand now?

Youth Fellowship

How can we live an abundant life? Achieving brilliant results in tests and exams? Winning competitions? Or indulging in entertainment and luxuries?  The Youth Fellowship shares with our fellow schoolmates ways of "Living an Abundant Life", which is our theme this year.

Through various activities held, our fellow schoolmates were led to think and act out the ways that would lead us to an abundant life. Since the first step is to recognize our relationship with Jesus and to have faith in Him, the Gospel Week with the theme "All Because of You" was arranged to be held in early October. Two meetings, two morning assemblies, a book exhibition, and lastly an evangelistic meeting were held during the week so as to strengthen the faith of our schoolmates in Jesus and to remind them once again that it is all because of Jesus that our lives can become colourful and meaningful. Consequently, quite a few of our schoolmates accepted Jesus as their personal Saviour.

The Harvest Festival was also celebrated during the Gospel Week. This reminded us of God's love for us and gave us an opportunity to thank Him for his abundant provision, as well as to share our possessions with the ones around us. Our schoolmates donated canned or packaged food and money, which were subsequently sent to the homeless around our neighbourhood.

The Carol Singing was held in December 1999. After the stressful mid-year exams, this occasion allowed our schoolmates to have a chance to relax and quieten down to reflect on the real meaning of Christmas. The theme for the Carol Singing was "Happy Birthday to Jesus". We celebrated Jesus' birthday with songs and instruments. We also dedicated cards to Jesus, on which we wrote down things we would like to tell Jesus or would promise Him to do. Lastly, through the warmth of flickering candlelight, we were reminded once again to share the love of God and the peace and joy at Christmas with those around us.

A Famine Lunch was held in April 2000 to remind us of the needs of the less fortunate. The money raised was donated to charitable organizations to help people round the world.

Apart from these special events, gatherings were held every Monday during the second half of lunch in the Chapel in order to help our schoolmates explore the various aspects of living an abundant life. There were song sharing, group discussions, games, testimonies and talks in which all of us enjoyed a lot. Heartfelt gratitude must be given to Miss Christina Chia from St. Andrews Church, who kindly prepared two of the meetings during the first term. Thanks must also be given to our teachers-in-charge, Mrs. A. Cheng, Mrs. P. Lee, Mr. T. Man, Mr. J. Ng and Mrs. J. Ng for their unfailing guidance, advice and support.

May the love, strength, promise and guidance of God be with us all always.
