This YAHOO! Story (NL pencils in Gosling to read from 'Notebook') says that Ryan Gosling is in negotiations to star in the drama "The Notebook" for New Line Cinema and director Nick Cassavetes.  Ryan plays a love interest in the romance about two young people who meet in their teens and are reunited after World War II.
