Lila: Eight o'clock.
Arnold: Early yet. <Flops back onto pillow>
Lila: Oh Arnold, don't be such a sleepy head. <Giggles>
Arnold: Why? It's summer.
Lila: Because we have a new day and things to do!
Arnold: <Pulls blanket over head>
Lila: And I still have that surprise for you.
Arnold: <Muffled> It can wait.
Lila: Awww. Well, ok. I'll go get dressed and stuff.
Arnold: <Mumbles are muffled into almost incomprehensibility> Have fun.
Lila: <Leaves to go shower and get dressed. Half hour later, Lila returns>
Arnold: <Is still asleep>
Lila: Arnold! wake up!
Arnold: Ah! Is the house on fire?! Save Abner! Leave Grandpa!
Lila: No Arnold. Hehehe.
Arnold: Oh, it's just you. Don't do that to me!
Lila: C'mon sleepy head! Rise and shine! <Pulls off covers>
Arnold: Hey! What if I wasn't wearing pj's or somethin'?!
Lila: I wouldnt mind.
Arnold: I would! <Takes back covers>
Lila: But, I'm sure you wouldn't sleep without pajamas.
Arnold: <Grumbles around blanket>
Lila: At least not when I'm sleeping on the couch. <Giggles>
Arnold: Go away and let me sleep, please?
Lila: Fine, I'll just go hang with your Grandpa.
Arnold: No!! I'll get up, you can stay, just don't spend time with him!
Lila: All right Arnold.
Arnold: <Jumps out of bed, runs into closet, closes door, begins dressing.
Shouts from closet> And don't even mention to him that you might be feeling
angry or sad!
Lila: Ok Arnold. Sheesh, you're awfully jumpy about those pills.
Arnold: Yeah, he only tries to slip them into everything I eat or drink
regardless of whether or not I need them.
Lila: Well, if you're feeling low, you should try them.
Arnold: Maybe I want to feel my other emotions besides happiness.
Lila: Are you almost done dressing?
Arnold: <Steps out of closet> Yes.
Lila: Ok, so, what do you want to do today?
Arnold: <Takes hat from bedpost> I dunno.
Lila: Lemme see that. <Grabs Arnold's hat>

Lila: <Puts it on> How does it look?
Arnold: Like it should be on my head. <Takes hat off her head and puts it on
own> Now I'm done dressing.
Lila: Hehe, shall we go out now?
Arnold: Okay. The park?
Lila: Sure, as long as there's no more fighting.
Arnold: I doubt it.
Lila: That's good. Let's go then.
Arnold: <They go to park>
Lila: Awww, there's Stinky and Gloria over there.
Arnold: Heh. How cute.
Lila: It's adorable!
Arnold: Yeah, but he never kisses her, that's why she cheated on him with Sid.
Lila: Hehe, they look like they're kissing now. Awww.
Arnold: Glad they worked it out.
Lila: Yeah. And look, there's Gerald and Helga over there. <Points to Gerald

Lila: Oh, the park is ever so romantic, Arnold!
Arnold: Umm, yeah, sure... Romantic.
Lila: Gee Arnold, it is romantic. And what a perfect place to give you my
surprise. <Gives Arnold a romantic card>
Arnold: <Blushes, reads card, blushes harder>
Lila: See Arnold... <Sits him down under a tree> ... I love you. <Kisses him>

Arnold: Well, uh...
Lila: What is it Arnold?
Arnold: Just, umm, lemme think this over okay? I mean, I just got out of a
relationship that ended disastrously. Just gimme time to think.
Lila: Oh. But I thought you said you were over her.
Arnold: I am, it's just... a little hard to explain...
