Scouting for Food
Where:  7:30 AM, meet at Carl's Jr. parking lot corner
            of Saticoy and Winnetka.
When:  Saturday, February 3rd (flyers to homes)
Saturday, February 10th (collect food items)
What's it all about?:  Each year we join Scouters across our nation in collecting food items for food pantries.  In
our council, WLACC, these items go to the West Valley
Food Pantry at Prince of Peace Church.  Some are kept at this location, while others are distributed to smaller local food pantries.

How does it all get done?:  By us.  This is a huge effort and we will need everyone's help.  Siblings and other family members are welcome.  Basically, we need as many hands as we can get.  We also need trucks.  We will separate into small groups and walk our pre-assigned neighborhood.  When collecting the food, we will need a vehicle to accompany each small group.  This prevents Scouts from having to carry all the food around.  It also provides a means of restroom/water/snack breaks.

What do I get?:  A happy heart, a patch, and credit for another service project.
