"3am. I am never going to get enough sleep."
Her new job required her to move to Orlando, Florida and Adrianne was welcoming the move with all she had. Pennsylvania held to many regrets and pain for her to stand any longer.
Seven o'clock came way to early for Adrianne, as she showered and packed the last of her clothes. Her boss, a guy named Johnny, had her a furnished apartment as to keep her cost on moving down. He had hired Adrianne on as a fan club manager for a group of five guys he was managing. Adrianne was excited to leave Penn state and to start a whole new life.
The flight was crowded and Adrianne prayed for the end of it. The whole time she told herself it was all worth it, and she swore to never go back unless she had too. Once the plane landed she milled through the busy airport in search of baggage claim. She spotted her bags falling from the loader as she rounded the corner.
"At least something is going my way." Grabbing her bags, she made her way out front to look for the man that was to drive her to her new home.

Chris swerved in and out of traffic cursing himself for volunteering to pick up Johnnys' new recruit. All he knew was her flight number. He wasn't even informed on what she looked like. He pulled right up to the loading dock in the rented SUV he was given.
"Shit! I can't believe I asked for this job. I could have been over at the beach with Joey." Chris mumbled as he switched the vehicle off and hopped out. He shielded his eyes from the Orlando sun and scanned the crowd. "Hmmm, old guy, not her. Let's see."
"Looking for someone?" Adrianne asked Chris. To her he looked new to the area as well.
"Yeah actually, and I am late so if you don't mind."
"Well, you looked new here too. I just thought I would try to help." Adrianne looked hurt as she turned and started to walk away. Chris pulled out his cell phone and called Melinda, Johnnys' assistant.
"Melinda Bell. Can I help you?" She answered the phone right away.
"Ok, can you maybe tell me what the hell this chick looks like. It's hot and I have things to do." He waved is hand as he talked causing an older couple to stare.
"First of all. CHILL! Second of all you wanted to pick her up, and third of all she is tall thin and I highly doubt you can miss that hair of hers." Melinda ran a hand through her hair as she calmly talked to Chris.
"Oh man, she wouldn't by any chance have red hair would she?"
Silence. "What did you do to her Chris?"
"Uhhh, Mel I gotta go, I'll talk to you tomorrow." He snapped his phone closed and bolted in the same direction the girl had went. He saw her red hair bouncing up and down as she walked, hands full of suitcases. "Hey! You! Wait a sec."
Adrianne turned with a look of annoyance on her face. "So now you want to talk. Do you have a problem or something? I am looking for my ride, I'm new here and........and.........well...." Her bottom lip trembled.
"Great, just great. See if I do anything for Johnny ever again." His braids were starting to hang in his face from the humidity in the air. To Adrianne he looked like a little boy, who just dropped his ice cream in the dirt.
"Did you just say you knew Johnny? Thats who I need to find. He has the key to my house and all that."
Chris grinned and swung a key in front of her face. "Actually, I have your house key and all that." His grin erked her even more as she tried to snatch the key from his hand. He was faster and dodged her. "Eh, eh, eh. I don't think so. I'm your ride and I don't give house keys to just anyone. I don't even know your name. What would my mother think?"
Adrianne scoffed at his poor attempt at humor. "Fine. Just show me your car and I'll load my bags in. I am tired and I want to rest." Chris held his hands up to stop her from moving.
"Just a minute young lady. Name?" Adrianne rolled her eyes and licked her lips.
"Adrianne Green. Happy? Now where are you parked?"

Adrianne stumbled into her new apartment, minus the help from her driver. Who's name she had learned was Chris. Her back hurt and she was pissed from the events of her first day in Florida. The place looked ok, as she surveyed the living room. She plopped down on the sofa and released her cat from his carrier.
"I hope your first impression of Orlando was better than mine Snugs. That man was irritating. I hope I never have to deal with him again." Snuggles purred and stepped away checking out his new home as well. Adrianne's phone rang and it startled her.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Miss Green?" A deep voice said.
"Yes, this Adrianne. Is this Johnny? I think we spoke before."
"Yes, yes it is actually. I just wanted to make sure you got here ok and that you still planned on coming down and meeting the guys tomorrow morning."
Adrianne smoothed her shirt and cleared her throat. "Of course, but I have a question. What's the best way for me to get around here?" She had sold her car before she left Penn. state and neither of the two had thought about that.
"Thanks for reminding me. I have a car ready for your use, I just need you to find a way to pick it up. I'm really sorry if this is any inconvenience to you." He waited for her response.
"That will be no problem sir. I can just hop the bus before it gets to late. Thanks again."
"I'm glad. And call me Johnny. I'll see you bright and early tomorrow morning Adrianne. Welcome aboard." He hung up his end and it clicked in Adrianne's ear.
"Huh, now where is the bus stop?" She asked herself as she grabbed for her jacket. "This is going to be the beginning of an interesting new life." Snuggles meowed as if he was agreeing and she was out the door to look for the bus pick up.

6:30 am. Transcon Studios
"Joey, man you got no game brother." Justin said as Joey tripped over Lance's feet for the third time. They were waiting for Chris, who was late, and Adrianne who was trying to find her way there.
"Well you find me someone who has any kind of game this early in the damn morning and you'll have a valid argument Curly." Joey dusted off his warmup pants and took a seat on the benches near the court. "Where is Chris. He knows that chick is coming today. I hope she's fine." Joey grinned wide and stretched his muscles.
"Jeez, Joe its not even seven o'clock and you've got women on the brain already." JC said as he came walking out of the building and across the basketball court. "She'll be here........"
A loud scraping sound pulled their attention to the back parking lot. Chris' car had almost become one with a white mustang in front of him. He got out and prepared to give whoever was driving an earful.
At the same time Adrianne was in hysterics at the thought of ruining her new car, which actually wasn;t hers right yet. She had been given a five speed and had no clue how to drive it. She got out of the car and inspected the damage.
"What the hell is your problem!" Chris yelled. He opened his mouth and stopped himself when he realized it was Adrianne, Johnnys' new co worker. She jerked her head up and stopped head in her tracks when she saw who had rear ended her.
"YOU! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Adrianne yelled in a rage. "Don't you think you have caused me enough problems?" Chris just looked blankly at the temper raging from this little woman.
"I hate to break this to you, but obviously you don't already know. I'm the C in Nsync. One of the BOYS you are running a fan club for."
Adrianne's mouth dropped and she narrowed her eyes. The pair were nose to nose, until JC seperated the two.
"Guys, now come on. It's not that bad of an accident. Thats what it was an accident." He looked happy as he saw them both visibly relax. "Now lets go inside and get the official introductions over with." He walked away followed by the other three guys. Adrianne glared at Chris.
"Things will be great. As long as you leave me alone." She threw her hair over her shoulder and hit him in the face with it. He moved back and growled to himself.
"Just peachy Johnny, hire someone I can't stand at all to
run a FAN club. This is going to get ugly." He walked behind the others keeping
his distance from the red headed devil that was named Adrianne.
