Gold Panning in Jamestown, CA
Even today, there is still penty of gold in the hills of Jamestown, CA.
In order to ensure a great outing, we had a huge breakfast in the local cafe, and it had the best mango chutney I've tasted!
The expedition was  about $20, and it included all the neccesary equipment, instructions and the use of land.
However, it was the week of Thanksgiving, and the water was just plain freezing cold!
Even though we did not strike jackpot within our 2 hour of panning, we did surely find many little gold specks, enough to sartisfy my ego!
And with that, we decided not to quit our day jobs, gather up our tools, and headed home.
Till today, this trip remained one of my most memorable ones.  It was hands-on fun, and splashing Ben with ice-cold water was even more fun!  Defintely recommended if you have got time for a one-day trip.
