| for those who've seen my fanart section, and who are familiar with the count cain manga, you may have noticed that i keep trying to draw characters from count cain... and keep failing miserably. but some miserable attempts are worse than others. i have a habit of getting halfway through with a sketch of a character, deciding it doesn't look like who it's supposed to, and quitting. then one day i was bored and going through my sketch book and came upon... | |||||||

| two half finished sketches, one of cain and one of riff. i decided that, even though they didn't look like cain or riff, the sketches weren't totally awful... mostly. so i went through and finished them, no longer bothering to try to make them look like the characters they started out to be. the one shown top is 'Not Cain' and the one to the right --> is 'Not Riff' of course, i modified the riff one so much that now it looks rather androgynous. well, even more androgynous than Yuki-sensei's work. but i just love his pants. the pockets are too big, the hand in the pocket on the right isn't correct, and the pocket on the left isn't properly positioned, but i'm qute happy with the general shading of the pants. (wow, i've really talked quite a bit about these two piccies, huh?) back |
