As you can see, I've finally gotten off my lazy ass and made a Silent Hill 3 portion to my website. In this game, you take on the role of Heather, a 17-year-old girl who goes to the mall one morning. This is where our story begins. Characters Heather Morris: Our protaganist this time around. She's just your average 17-year-old girl. Unfortunately, during what seemed a routine trip to the mall, she ends up in the strange world of Silent Hill. Douglas Cartland:A private detective hired to find Heather. He ends up becoming her greatest ally during the course of the game, though she never really does quite trust him. Claudia Wolf: This enigmatic (and quite possibly insane) woman is the one that hired Douglas. Why she wants to find Heather is a mystery. Vincent: This strange character pops up every now and then to help Heather. But, is his help genuine, or is he doing it to further his own agenda? Weapons Knife: You start the game with this in your inventory. It has a short range and little stopping power. I would only use this as a last resort. Handgun: You find this one in the boutique in the Normal Mall. Heather will pick it up and use it against a Closer during a cut scene. It has little stopping power, but it's easy to use and ammo is plentiful. Steel Pipe: This is found in the cafe in the Alternate Mall. It has a long range and decent stopping power. Shotgun: You find this in the subway level. It's very powerful, but takes longer to load and ammo is more scarce than the handgun. Save it for more powerful regular enemies and bosses. Maul:This is found in the unknown station level. It's extremely powerful but very hard to swing. It also slows down Heather somewhat while she has it equipped. Katana: This is quite possibly the best melee weapon in the game. It's powerful and its easy to use. It also doesn't bounce when you use it. The only drawback it its short range. It can be found in the art gallery storeroom in the Normal Hilltop Center. Stun Gun: This is found in Heather's bedroom, in the top drawer. It sends out a blast of electricity that stuns monsters and causes a decent amount of damge. However, batteries are scarce and you have to make contact with a monster for it to have any effect. Submachine Gun: This is found in the Normal Hospital basement. It spits out bullets at a very rapid pace. However, because of this, it can go dry very quickly. Ammo is also fairly scarce. Flamethrower:To get this weapon, you need to beat the game having killed more monsters by shooting than by fighting. Then go to the bakery in the Normal Mall. The flamethrower will be sitting on the front counter. It's very powerful and doesnt' need reloading. Beam Saber:To get this one you need to beat the game having killed more enemies with a melee weapon than with a gun. It's found in the hallway where you get the My Bestsellers key. Examine the door at the very end. Heather will then remove the door knob, which is revealed to be the beam saber. It's powerful and doesn't bounce off objects. However, it does require time for the blade to extend. Unlimited Submachine Gun: To get this you need to beat the final boss with a melee weapon and then start a new game. You don't need to use a melee weapon for the entire fight; you just need to deal the finishing blow with one. The unlimted submachine gun will be located on a stack of crates outside the Normal Mall. It's just like the regular submachine gun, only you don't need to reload it. Heather Beam: You need to kill at least 333 enemies to get this. It doesn't have to be in a single game, and it can be any difficulty level. After you get the Heather Beam, it will be automatically available in your next Extra New Game. Basically, Heather shoots laser beams from her eyes. Sexy Beam: The Heather Beam becomes the more powerful Sexy Beam after she equips the transform costume. Enemies Closer: These creatures are characterized by having long, thick arms and are extremely tall. Their stats vary by location (the ones in the chapel level are the toughest). They will attack by swinging their arms and stabbing Heather with a blade that they extend from their arms. I would avoid these until you get better firepower. Insane Cancer: These things are huge and resistant to firearms. Fortunately they're also very slow, so getting in close enough to use a melee weapon. Wait until it looks like they're about to strike and wallop them. Numb Body: These things are more a nuisance than an actual threat, but can be tough if they appear in groups. Melee weapons are effective. Double Head: These dog-like enemies are very fast, so melee weapons aren't reccommended. The handgun is sufficient to put them down. Pendulums: These flying enemies are difficult to target with melee weapons (well, impossible, really), so the handgun is your best bet. Be warned that they are very fast. Nurses: What Silent Hill game would be complete withouth them? Some of these enemies carry steel pipes, while others carry revolvers. The best weapon for both types is the katana. Slurpers: These creatures attack quickly and can knock Heather down. They are especially troublesome if they appear in groups. Your best bet here is the shotgun. Scrapers: Very similar to the Missionary boss, only much easier. They also block much less often. You'll need some decent firepower to bring them down, so, again, the best weapon is the shotgun. Possessed: Here you have a points system. You get 10 points for all monsters defeated (including bosses), 1 point for each point of health lost, and 1000 points for saying "I forgive you" in the confessional. If these points add up to 4000 or more, you get the alternate ending. Revenge: First, get the Heather beam. Then use either the Heather Beam or the Sexy Beam to defeat at least thirty monsters before getting to the Daisy Villa Apartments. Remove any weapons from Heather's hands before you enter her apartment. You will witness the most hilarious ending ever! | |||
