Off Road Golf Cart Project
April 21,2002
Today I installed the Flip Flop Seat. This seat was manufactured by Stretch Plastics.
I DO NOT Recomend this product! Nothing but problems since I opened the boxes.
First of all, The way it was packaged. The metal rails were scratched up. Then I found the instruction sheet! WOW I think a 2 yr old wrote these. They were terrible. The came the install. The drawings on the instructions were so bad, I did not even know were to start. I had to make 3 calls to DSC for help.
Well, after I figured out were everything went, I began. I started with the foot rest frame. This bolts to the frame of the cart, underneath the begwell area. Well...The holes did not line up! They were a 1/4 in off. I called DSC and double checked this and it was were it was suppose to go. I had to drill out this hole, so it would bolt up. During the installation, I have to do this several times. Stretch Plastics must not have a QA program! I was very disappointed with this seat. I WILL NEVER purchase another, or recommend it in the future!
To top it all off, after I got the whole thing on (about 8hrs labor) I steped an the foot rest and into the seat. A weld broke on one of the supports. WOW! I could not believe it! And this thing cost some bucks too!!!! NEVER AGAIN!
