Front End Lift Installed
Today I got the front end of the lift kit installation done. It went smooth up until I connected the drop axle to the front leaf springs. The holes on the drop axle did not line up with the plate (off the stock axle) the "sandwich's" the axle to the spring. Im not sure, but it looks like the axle was welded wrong. I have a call into Desert Sports Center and will find out Monday. If so, I just will have to make plates to fit. or, they will have to make it right. But anyway, I have it together. (with 1 bolt on each spring for now)

Next, I went to attatch the new drop axle to the front springs. This is what I was talking about earlier. The retaining plates used from the stock axle and the new ones welded to the top of the drop axle did not line up at all. The retaining plates matched the the flanges on the bottom of the drop axle. (looks like someone welded the wrong ones on backwards?) I will have to see what DSC says on Monday. All the pictues I have show the installation this way, so I dont think I am wrong. Would have been nice to have some instructions included with the kit!
I decided to place one bolt on each plate (the front holes seemed to line up) this held it together. So I proceeded with the rest of the kit. I will have to tear it back down when I find out what the hell is going on.
