Bob's Mercury Magnetics Transformer Photo Gallery

Welcome to Bob's Mercury Magnetics Transformer Photo Gallery. This is an unofficial site and it is not sponsored by Mercury Magnetics.

As a guitar amp building hobbyist, I've had a large number of transformers cross over my workbench. Unfortunately, it can be somewhat difficult to find good technical information on many of the replacement transformers for vintage amplifiers. This is especially the case with transformers from Mercury Magnetics. Although their "Toneclone" line of transformers are reputed to be among the most faithful reproduction transformers available today, getting specs on them can be somewhat difficult.

The purpose of this page is to share photographs of some of the Mercury Magnetics products that may be of interest to amp building hobbyists. Because this is not a supported site, it does not feature photos of MM's complete line of transformers. This site only features transformers that have crossed my bench since I've started taking photos of them in January 2003.

Although this photo gallery is not complete, as time allows I plan to update it with additional photographs as new transformers cross my bench. I hope that the photos will be helpful for anyone who's interested in using one of the Mercury Magnetics amplifiers in one of their projects.

Mercury Magnetics transformers carry a premium price tag and are VERY expensive to purchase at their retail prices. For this reason, hobbyists such as myself typically put together group orders to qualify for discount pricing. Please feel free to contact me if you're interested in getting in on the next group order. We typically place a group order at the beginning of every month.
