The UT vette is by far a better quality C5 then the other two. The color on the Burago is slightly lighter then the others. The Burago & Maisto have the side body molding, the UT does not.
Brake detail is the best on the UT, Maisto second & Burago third. The UT has aluminum painted discs, with black calipers & "corvette" script on all 4 calipers. The rotors turn with the wheels while the rotors stay stationary. The Maisto has chrome discs with red calipers, "corvette" script is only on the front calipers. The rotors & brakes stay stationary as the wheel rotates. The Masito has a working suspension, the others don't. The Burago only has a chrome brake disc that moves with the wheel.
The interior of the UT is superior to the other two. The seats feel good, it has carpeting & more dash detail. The dash on the Maisto is good, with the molded center counsle ok. The Burago center counsle is just a sticker, but you can read some of the readouts.
The engine detail is where its "up in the air". The UT is ok, but just one piece of molded plastic, the other two actually have seperate engines.
The UT above is a special edition car and can be found for between $20 - 45( I found it on Ebay for $20). Regular UT C5's are just the same quality for around $20. You can usually find the Maisto or Burago C5's for $10-20. |
