TOURMAMENT: Campbellsport, WI -- December 9, 2000
Mrs. Tomes, Coach Bly and Coach Tomes Coach Tomes and Coach Bly supervising a match at Campbellsport. The Cougars got up early Saturday morning to compete against some of the best teams in the state. The Campbellsport Cougars and the Seymour Lightnings were the top teams that showed up that morning.

The tournament started at 11:00 AM.

In the first round Juan Perez, Marvel Taylor, Jesse Hanke, Nick Grady, Chris Johnson and CJ Davis all won their first matches. Juan Perez won his first match with a pin in less than 30 seconds. Along with Chris Johnson who had also managed a pin. Marvel Taylor had a bit of competition in this first round but fought through and showed his opponents from Campbellsport who the true Cougars were. CJ, Nick and Jesse work their way steadily to a win not letting their opponents get any edge.

The second round started up quite a bit later. Marvel Taylor, Nick Grady and CJ Davis all won thier matches. No pins. All of these Milwaukee City team wrestlers made their way up on the tournament step.
The Tournaments went on as many of the Cougars beat more of the competition.

Towards the middle of the Tournament the Custer Cougars were in 5th place out of the 9 teams that showed up there at Campbellsport. But it was not to remain there! Nick Grady, Kevin Pegee, Juan Perez, C.J. Davis and Marvell Taylor all made it to the finals in the wrestle offs of the tournament.

In the end the Custer Cougars were placed in 4th place out of the nine. Marvell Taylor, Kevin Pegee, Nick Grady and Juan PErez all left the Tournament with medals. Juan left with a Bronze medal, Marvell left with a Silver medal, Nick left with a Bronze and Kevin left with a Silver.

Coach Tomes was proud of his team! They face up against some of the best competition in the State and were able to make the top four in this Tournament. First place going to Seymour High School. 		Marvel Taylor Marvel Taylor showing off his personal wrestling technique.
