| DUAL MEET: Delafeild, WI -- December 14, 2000 |
One of the many PINS displayed by the Cougars!
|
The Cougar went out to the small town of Delafeild to confront St. Johns NW Military Academy. The Cougars started it all off amazingly!
The Junior Varsity started the meet. The St. Johns NW Lancers didn't know what was comming! The first match was held by Milton Lloyd who pinned his opponent within the first period. Many followed after. With the Varsity the amazement continued throughout the meet! Many of the Cougars, such as Juan Perez, pinned his opponent quickly in the match. As the Cougars stood-up the pins were comming! Only one default match occured throught the meet and that win was to Sysouk Sayavongsa. Ryan Isabell had displayed a great score for the Cougar with an AMAZING 48 - 6 win! Some of the matches were won to the Lancers. Yet, only three of them! "We should have only lost one!" Coach Tomes said. But he was still quite proud of his Varsity squad. |
|
After the Varsity Cougars cleaned up the Lancers the team went on to a Exhibition meet. Only a few weight classes were able to wrest in this meet. The top two winner of these exhibition meets were Nigel Walker and Nathan Johnson.
Nigel (170) had the most exciting match all night. Him and his opponent battled it out to the last. Both having 6 - 6 in the last period. Neither of them wanted to give it up, yet Nigel pushed that extra bit of strength and gain 2 escape point just before the buzzer wailed. Nathan Johnson's match was also quite exciting. I had spoken with him just before his match and he said that he had to win his match to get back at his opponent (who had wrestled fellow Heavy Weight Robert Redd) for beating his friend, Robert Redd. Nathan did just that and more winning his match for both him and his teammate! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
Ryan Isabell made the highest score for the Cougars with a match of 48 - 6. (This is NO typeo)
