Anita Blake is the main character. She is a animater/ vampire hunter who's powers grow in every book, largly due to the trimvate with Jean-Claude and Richard. She has ahard time finding a boyfriend that is humen which leads us to Jean- Claude, Richard and Micah. ( and sort of Asher) . Her mother died when she was young in a car accident leaving her very indepedent. When in collage her fionce left her and she still carrys a bit of a chip on her shoulder over that. Her best friend is Ronnie, a private investigater, but latly they have been disagreeing a lot as Anita becomes more and more involved with the monsters. Her friendship with Dolph ( the leader of the police department) is also strained due more or less to the same thing. For the first few books Anita is celebret, but as the books progress she get's more and more sexually active.
Richard is one of my least favourite characters as well he is basically boring and a bit of a prude.( I think anyway ) Richard and Anita were engaged but split up when she saw him eat someone. ( He is the head werewolf) Richard is also a high school teacher and has high morals which constadict with Anita's more and more as time go's on. At the moment Richard is very depressed and possibly sucidle because he just want's to be humen.
Jean-claude is yummy. He is a master vampire and a very sexy one at that. Him and Anita are dating. At the beginning he tried to suduce her so he could make her his humen servant. ( so he can have some of her powers). When Anita started to date Richard Jean Claude threatened to kill Richard unless she dated both of them. She agreed but really wanted Richard. She sleeps with Jean Claude after she sees Richard eat someone. Jean Claude is in love with her for real these days.
Micah is even worse than Richard. He is sort of like a king were leopard and has sex with Anita in the bathroom when she is recovering from an attack. ( Anita has picked up a new power and has to have sex twice a day to controll it) He now lives with Anita and shares her with Jean- Claude.
Asher is the best. A very old vampire that used to be lovers with JeanClaude, he is now second in charge of the vampires. Originally Asher wanted to kill Jean Claude because he blamed Jean Claude for the death of his girlfriend. However they have since patched things up. Anita has'nt had sex with Asher yet but she is kinda seeing him as well as JeanClaude and Micah. ( only in the company of Jean Claude though it seems). Asher is also scared all down one side of his face and body from where some people burned him with holy water. This has left him with some self esteem problems. Asher can give people orgasms through biting them as Anita has witnessed first hand.
Jason is a werewolf and part time snack for Jean-Claude. HE is a bit of a smart arse and is very obsesessd with sex. He has so far had a one night stand with Anita although it is unclear weather she will continue to sleep with him at this stage.
NAthenial is another boring character, he is having foreplay with Anita to feed her appitite and is a wereleopard. He also lives with Anita.
Dolph is like the head of tthe supernatural crime squad. He and Anita got on a lot better before she started dating Jean - Claude. His son is marrying a vampire and want's to be one so he is a bit pissed at anything not humen. I really like Dolph and wish him and Anita would patch things up.
Ah, how could we not love Edward. Him and Anita are pretty good mates even though they might kill each other one day. Edward is a hitman/assassin who swithched to killing monsters cause humens were to easy. He is crazy basically but leads a double life and is engaged to be married. TOO WEIRD!
Ronnie is humen and Anita's best friend. She is a private investigater who does not like Anita's love life. She calls Jean- Claude fang face. She really likes Richard and want's him and Anita to be together witch is causing problems for their frienship. She is dating a were rat called Louie.
DAmien is a very old vamp that is now Anita's vampire servant ( long story). He is kinda boring too.
Willie Mcoy used to be humen when Anita first met him but now he is a vampire . He managers one of Jean Claudes clubs and is not very powerfull. Anita really likes him. HE is proberly one of her fave Vamps and is dating Hedi, another vampire.
