In the year 2007, three alumnae from Alpha Gamma Chapter came together in pursuit of starting a Graduate Chapter in the Southeast. They felt there was a need to help further the mission brought forth by the founding mothers in Florida. A proposal was sent on August 30, 2007 to the Grand Chapter Board of Chi Upsilon Sigma, National Latin Sorority, Inc. On September 9, 2007 the Grand Chapter Board accepted and established the 1st Graduate Chapter in the State of Florida by the name of Omega Eta Chapter.
The Omega Eta Chapter of Chi Upsilon Sigma, National Latin
Sorority, Inc., will be a support system that will bridge the gap
between the undergraduates and alumnae. Futhermore, it will
provide the opportunity for networking within as well as
outside the Hermandad.
Omega Eta Chapter will be a nurturing and unifying vehicle
that strengthens our sisterly bond despite our geographical
distance. In addition, we shall represent our Hermandad with
pride, professionalism and service to our community. And lastly,
uphold our values and support all sisters of Corazones Unidos Siempre in achieving their individual goals. |
