With the championship game not being called the Super Bowl, but "The Big Game at the End," the XFL launches its inaugural season this weekend with extreme apprehension and extreme anticipation.  The X Football League (the X does not stand for anything) is part owned by the WWF and NBC.  It is the brainchild of WWF owner Vince McMahon.
Someone once said he who governs least, governs best.  Well, Minnesota, there you go.  Governor Jesse Ventura is just one of the announcers that will be announcing the XFL games for NBC.  Also in the booth will be Matt Vasgersian, Milwaukee Brewers announcer and Sports Genuises host.  Mike Adamle and Fred Roggin will be sideline reporters for the game.  Mike Adamle is the sports director for an NBC station in Chicago and Fred Roggin is the sports director for an NBC station in Los Angeles.
Rules of the Game
- No fair catches
- No quarterbacks in the grasp rule
- No kicking PATs
- A free ball on punts over 25 yards
- Bonus money for wins
- One foot inbounds
- No ties
- And many more changes!

There are a couple main differences between the XFL and the NFL.  The XFL not only allows excessive celebration, they encourage it.  Also, the don't discourage, but encourage, dating between the players and the cheerleaders.  In addition, the sideline reporters will ask the cheerleaders questions about their relationships with the players and they have to answer truthfully.

Kel Caught on Tape
Reported from the New York Post, supposedly recently kicked off Survivor Kel was actually hiding some meat after all.  After he was suspected of smuggling food, a CBS camera followed him when he left the group to see if it was true.  At this time, he was caught "pleasuring himself".  He was reportedly "traumatized".
