My first "motorcycle" was a 1971 Suzuki MT50R Trailhopper mini-bike. I loved that bike, and took great care of it. In 1993, I cleaned it up and "restored" what little needed to be done to make it like new. I then stored it away. In 1998, I bought a Honda CR250 and started moto-cross riding. I got the Traihopper out for my daughter to ride in the grass at the track while I was riding. I started collecting a few Vintage snowmobiles in 1993. In 2001 I started collecting alot of Suzuki and Harley Davidson snowmobiles. This last summer, I saw a 1971 Suzuki TS 50 Gaucho on E-bay. I bought it, and thought "What the heck, I think I'll start collecting vintage motorcycles too. Since I became interested in motorcycles in 1970, and my first cycle was a Suzuki minibike, I mostly collect 1970's Suzukis. I also decided to collect a few 1970's "Italian" Harleys and have picked up a few others. Most I bought in great original condition, but still need a litttle work to be totally restored. |
