First Hello tickets were previously known as First Kiss Tickets. In the past these tickets were open for SO's or Spouses. By renaming the tickets we have opened these up to all. At our October 2006 Support Group Meeting, we will be selecting tickets out of all the tickets that are collected over the next 8 months. If a ticket with your name is selected (picked out randomly) then you will be able to join the rest of the VIP's at homecoming and be able to see your sailor before the gates are opened to allow all the loved ones to see their sailor.
If you are 18 years or older (SO, spouse, parent, other family, or friend), & have a sailor on the USS Curts that will be on the ship the day of homecoming.
Each person who attends a Support Group meeting and signs in will receive one ticket automatically. (The SG President will fill one ticket out for each person who is on the sign in sheet). The more Support Group meetings you attend, the more free tickets you get.
Finally, if you still want to better your chances for having your name picked, you may purchase FH tickets. You will need to do this at the Support Group meetings or functions, or by contacting the Support Group President.

If you want to buy extras they cost $.50 each or 3 for $1.00
Again, you must be 18 years or older. You will not be allowed to bring your family or friends with you into the VIP line. Immediate family, such as your or your Sailor's children, is fine. If you cannot be there, or your sailor will not be on the ship the day of Homecoming you can either forfeit the right or give it to someone else of your choosing. As we get closer to Homecoming there will be a date by which you need to have made your choice.
There is no limit, however, the more you buy does not guarantee that your name will be picked. Please do not put yourself in financial trouble to try and have your name picked. This is a chance item. Only three different names will be picked. For those of you who cannot afford to buy more, there are many ways to get the tickets for free. Also remember that if you give birth to a Curts Sailor's child during the current deployment and you have contacted the Ombudsman, you will already be placed in the VIP group at Homecoming.
