| Before relocating to Southeast Asia in 1999, I was a pretty avid tuba player. I started on the instrument in my sophomore year of high school, switching over from third trumpet. From then on, I was a much more motivated musician. I continued my studies on the instrument at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, where I eventually became a music major and even took formal lessons on the tuba for three years. After college, I continued to play in several community bands. Today, I sure do miss playing, but can't figure out a way to get a tuba over to where I live, and once I had one, what would I do with it? | ||||||||||
