The Extra Miler Club - is a nationwide group of several hundred people who share the common interest of visiting as many counties in the United States as they are able to. Just about everyone in the club has other travel related collecting interests as well. Several, like me, are trying to visit each of the national parks in the U.S. Others want to visit the highest and lowest points in each state (and county in some cases). Countyhunt - is an online group started in 1999. These folks are there with assistance and ideas for those of us who need help finding resources to make visiting and tracking counties easier. They share info and experiences. Like the Extra Milers, they are all very friendly and accepting.

Why Do You Think They Call Them Counties? - is an online group which keeps track of the counties they have visited and actually tracks all its members totals online. They even have a national county outline map for each member. This site is fun!
