When you release a player you will receive $1 if then are active.
A Retiring player will get you $2.
You may only draft rookies in rounds 1 and 2 (current year's draft class or undrafted free agents to never play a game in the NFL) All players not claimed by a team may be taken in the 3rd round (rookies included).
All draft picks may be cashed in for $2 a pick, no matter what round.
A team without funds to sign a drafted player owns rights to that player for the 1st year and can "sign" them at any time; after that any unsigned player becomes available in the free agent draft the following year.
