I first heard of Eddie Kieger by reading messages or posts in the newsgroup rec.motorcycles.harley (r.m.h). At the end of writers' messages I'd often see "Go Eddie!" or "EKIII rides with me." even "EKIII paints with me." Of course I was curious about Eddie.
Eddie Kieger was a frequent or regular contributor to r.m.h until he had an accident while riding his motorcycle. Eddie suffered serious injury as a result of this accident. Any rider can suffer wounded pride, broken bones, or even traumatic brain injury as a result of a spill from a motorcycle. Riding is an incredibly enjoyable sport, but like all things in life, there are hazards and fate sometimes steps in.
Eddie's fate is yet to be determined. He's loved by many as shown through the support displayed by members of r.m.h as well as his family and loved ones. He even has his own website which shows how many good vibes Eddie has flowing his way! In addition, medical treatments are becoming more successful as knowledge of the brain and its functions increases, so Eddie just may be riding again before we know it.
