Curt Fletcher's Bio |
| Curt Fletcher's first comedic performance was in November, 1980, in Goldfield, Iowa. He was only eight months old. He took off his filthy diaper and threw it at his father. (Curt later found out that his father was Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendys.) Curt's first performance was hilarious, his whole family loved it, that's when he knew that he was born to make people laugh. |
| Curt's first performance in front of a crowd of strangers was in 1985, in Kindergarten. Curt's mom told the teacher that he had a funny dance that he would like to do for show and tell. The suprise performance was a hit with the five-year-olds. Curt went on to become a recess legend at Goldfield Elementary. |
| Curt was on his way to stardom, but he was going to get nowhere living in Goldfield, Iowa, so he decided he was going to move to New York to live with George Carlin. Unfortunately, his mom caught him before he hit the sidewalk, so the dream was put on hold. |
| In 2001, now living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Curt decided to hit the real stage. His comedy career began on August 5, 2001. Curt was a success right away, doing open mics and guest sets at Laffs Comedy Club. The next couple years he worked on his act, and finally in 2003 he got his first professional gig at Laffs. |
| Curt won the First Annual Great Southwest Laff Off Competition which helped him get booked at other clubs in the Southwest. Ever since, Curt has performed all over the Southwest at clubs, colleges, casinos, and taco bell. If you like one-liners, you'll enjoy Curt's style. He has been described as Steven Wright-ish, with a dark twist. He's looking to hit the road full time in 2005, so watch the hell out! Fletcha Flave represent. |
