Tandoori Review

Khyber Tandoori 44/45 South William Street, Dublin 2.

Very classy restaurant. Ideal for those wishing to combine a great curry and romantic night out! You know your in for something special when your greeted at the door by a gentleman in full Pakistanian dress. Furnished to a high standard and good service to boot makes this a great night out. You might even get a free meal judging by the amount of photo's of Bertie Ahern around.
Pubs nearby : Sheeans, Nearys, Hairy Lemon ect.

Rajdoot Tandoori 26-28 Clarendon Street, Westbury Centre, Dublin 2.

Another classy curry house. This restaurant belongs to a chain stretching from Manchester to Fuengirola! Lots of Egon Ronay signs around (can you buy them as I see a lot of them nowadays?). Great food, good service and a lovely waiting area. One word of warning I've ordered a pint of beer on two seperate occasions and both times the beer was flat.
Pubs nearby : Sheeans, Nearys ect.

Tulsi Tandoori 17a Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2.

I think JK has shares in this place! By now Famous (infamous?) curry house located within belching distance of the girls love pad. Meals can vary from the very good to very runny, a bit like the service. Still they'll always fit you in somewhere even if it's in the kitchen and if your very drunk who cares what the foods like? What ever happened to the nice headwaiter?
Pubs nearby (few pints before hand strongly recommended) : Maguires, The Pembroke, Toners ect.

Saagar Indian Cuisine 16 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2.

Highly recommended. Without a doubt the best service I have ever come across in any restaurant. The food's not bad either. The white gloved waiters give it something a bit extra. Try not to get lost on the way to the toilet though!
Pubs nearby : The bar in Copper Face Jacks (no joking!), Oden, Dicey Rileys ect.

Akash Indian Restaurant 7 Georges Avenue, Blackrock.

As Mark later pointed out we had a great deal to drink before we went here (the Eurovision was on in Conways) and perhaps we were in no fit state to judge Akash fairly. I felt that things were going to go wrong when (A) the resturant was empty, (B) on my way to the toilet I came across the Chef taking a frozen chicken out of a freezer in the corridor (C) we kept on hearing a Microwave binging every minute before our food came out. I won't go into the shakes I had afterwards in the Wolf or Johns "little present" left outside Akash. Mark assures me that the takeaways are outstanding and one day we will return to give a fair review...one day.
Pubs nearby : (Don't drink too much before hand) Conways, Wicked Wolf, Breffni (that's for you Ken!) ect.
