Director - Too Close?
Mana created and directed The Songs of Bock and Harnick, Rain and Rainbows: The Music of Harold Arlen, and Loesser is More: The Songs of Frank Loesser for the CAP21 Composer Projects. She is co-librettist of Rebels 1775, which has had productions at the RVC Starlight Theatre in Rockford, IL, and The Spirit of Broadway Theatre in Norwich, CT.  Other writing credits include A Tribute to Harold Prince, with co-author Scott Hayes; Mana has also worked as dramaturge on Mr. Hayes� musicals, Paree and Naughty Girl.  As an actress, she appeared on Broadway in Merrily We Roll Along and in Smile.   Off-Broadway includes The �No Frills� Revue, Dames at Sea, TrixieTrue: Teen Detective, Kiss Me Quick Before the Lava Reaches the Village. Regional includes Off Key, Opal (George St.), Young Rube, Black Coffee (St. Louis Rep.), On Shiloh Hill (Ford�s Theatre), Kiss Me Quick...(Northshore). National: Evita, International: Once Upon a Mattress (India, Sri Lanka). Her voice has been heard on recordings, television and radio.  Since 1988, Mana has devoted herself to the development of new works for the stage. She was an artistic company member of The Gathering at Big Fork for three years, The New Harmony Project 2000 and has proudly served as an associate producer of the CAP21 Blackjacks Festival of new works.  Mana is a faculty member of CAP21-NYU. She is married to silent film composer Ben Model, and is mom of the adorable Molly.
