RAIDERS DRINKEX NOV '00
On the weekend following our phenomenal performance in the Squad Exeval, the platoon (minus the senior NCOs) went out on a urban imbibing exercise in the near by town of MUNSAN.  This was the first unofficial gathering of the platoon under our new nickname, "RAIDERS."  I am happy to report that no unruly behavior occurred as a result, and our relationship with the ROK civilian populace in Munsan improved as a result.
Cheering our battalion commander and company commander in "Club Sidney," in Munsan, South Korea.

A decent bar with a selection of snacks. some soldiers tried out the "dried squid" for the first time in their lives.
This is most of our platoon minus the senior NCOs (They went out on a separate mission a week later,) with guests of the platoon, to include 1LT Walker, the previous platoon leader, and the Charlie  company KATUSA (Korean Augmentees to the US Army) contingents to include SGT Kim, the company senior KATUSA and others.

From left to right, top to bottom, SPC Snook, SGT Messimore, PFC Rodriguez, SPC Mannara, PVT Gaither, SSG Kyle, PFC Burgett, CPL Bang, SGT Kim, SGT Jo, SPC Verdeck, CPL Lim
Bottom Row: PFC Bharath, SPC Perryman, 1LT Walker, SPC Golding, 1LT Park, SPC Myrick

This was taken at Club DMZ in Munsan, a favorite hangout of soldiers with girlfriends who are spending their last minutes together before getting on the last bus to the DMZ on a sunday night....

SSG Kyle buying 1LT Park another shot of an unknown concoction of Korean and Western Origin.  For the record, no one in the platoon lost their military bearing during the entire exercise.
