There is also the conflict in Iraq which also involves the United States when the entered Fallujah. They have been car bombs which have caused deaths and many wounded people. As a result, families are now seeking refuge in other towns. The homes have no power, no phones and food shops are closed. They are living in a state of house arrest because of the threatening violence outside in fear that they may get killed. Medical hospitals do not even provide the medical attention needed because they too are being bombed.
The Taliban formulated in response to a girl's rape and they felt that this action needed to be justified so they found the man that comitted this crime and killed him. Eventually, because of the state of chaos, the people looked to the Taliban for security and power and the United States felt that with the Taliban in rule, they country would not be so disfunctional. The law however became rigid when they came to rule. They banned entertainment, women denied hopsital benefits and could not get an education because it would involve interaction between males. There were also separate facilities but the services were not equal. They said the law was based on the Qu'ran. Though the United States promoted the Taliban's power, they are now working to suppress it.
The Muslims in America are against Bush. They feel that Bush is against their values and beliefs. They find America to be an extremely materialistic society and as a result of our power and influence, we spread this idea of materialism to other countries corrupting them. They are agaisnt Bush's military actions and hope to find equality in America. There are groups that work for better respect for Muslims in America. There is currently an idea called racial profiling that states that all Muslims are treated as terrorist as a result of the terroist attacks. This has been on going in the United Sates.
The peace:
Islam comes from the world Salam which means peace. They view God as the God of peace and the bringerof peace. In the Muslim faith, peace is supposed to be executed in all that they do following the Qu'ran also known as the book of peace. Even in their Sakat, they say a prayer for peace (Salam prayer). They hope to attain a perfect Muslim society which would consist of extreme peace.
