"This delightful fairy tale is sure to please.... Kaye's illustrations are both beautiful and amusing. Neither her princess or her book should be considered ordinary" -School Library journal |

| Review This is one of my favorite stories. By chance i happen to browse by it in the library when i was young and I loved it so much i bought it and still read it almost every week. I love the character of Amy because even though she is a princess she would rather be a kitchen servant. She climbs down the wisteria bush out side her window every night and plays in the forest of faraway. Her parents are hilarious because the are typical royalty. Amy also has a squirel and a crow for her companions and even though they don't talk, they are still really cute. Well i don't want to tell you anymore because you have to read this book!! |
