May 3rd, 10pm

The pathology report was returned to us and it did not contain encouraging news. The surgeon, Dr. Obbink, removed 26 lymph nodes from Kathleen's axillary area. Of those nodes, 12 were found to be cancerous. Having twelve nodes showing signs of cancerous invasion is very concerning to Kathleen's medical staff and obviously, to us. Our pathologist confirmed that Kathleen is dealing with an aggressive cancer, which is very troubling.

We are hopeful and pray that Dr. Obbink removed all of the cancer from the breast area and in the lymph nodes. Clear and clean scans will confirm that the cancer was contained to that area and has not spread. Please pray that we will receive great news on all of the scans and x-rays.

One bit of good news, Kathleen visited the plastic surgeon yesterday and had her drainage tubes removed. This has provided a bit more comfort for her. Also, Kathleen has been up and around the neighborhood and made a full circle of our block today. Our wonderful neighbors swarmed her as she walked out of the house yesterday. It was an incredible sight. The support from neighbors, friends and family has been unbelievable.

Next steps: May 4th, Kathleen will undergo a chest x-ray, bone scans and ct scans of her abdomen. Next week, Kathleen has a follow up appointment with her surgeon, Dr. Obbink and an appointment with our Oncologist, Dr. Hermann.

Prayer Request: We pray that God will guide us to making the right decision as it pertains to Kathleen's treatment plan. We ask that we will be guided to the right place and the right medical staff that will treat and cure her. Please pray for us that we will make the correct decisions that will lead to a complete cure for her. Please continue to pray for a complete cure for Kathleen. We know she is in for a tough battle, but it is one that she will win. With prayer, a positive attitude and a will to win, she will be cured.

Thanks so much for all of your support. It is very much appreciated.
