Thomas left a message saying that Kathleen went into surgery today at 11:20 am. Surgery went well; however, of the four lymph nodes tested, two were cancerous. The surgeon performed an auxillary node dissection to remove lymph nodes, and Kathleen is now undergoing reconstructive surgery with Dr. Kennedy. They are waiting to hear about next steps. Kathleen will be at Mercy tonight and probably tomorrow night as well.
