| 23 September 2001... Woohoo! The Greatest Hits Collection is finally done! With three new singles Cut Here, Signal To Noise, and Just Say Yes - complete with a bonus CD - Acoustic versions of all 18 hits - featuring - get this - BORIS WILLIAMS hammering away at the drums as only he can!!! Its gonna be awesome!!! AND - they just made two new videos for Cut Here and Just Say Yes!!!! I just can't get enough! |

| 1November 2001... I LOVE THESE GUYS!!! Not only are they releasing a great new musical masterpeice - but great new videos to go with it!!!! (Cut Here video available at GetMusic.com - link provided thru the CURE Official site) These guys are just the greatest in the world!!! The new album should be out by the 12th or 13th of November - as reported in official CURE News on the Official Site. But looks like you can get the single of Cut Here from Amazon now!!! |

| 28 February 2003... Wow, so much has happened since I last updated this site. I don't even know where to begin! The official site hasn't even been updated since October 2002! But in that time frame, The Cure has done many summer concerts throughout Europe. Doesn't look like they will be entertaining the states anytime soon since they are now under a new label - or something of that sort. Things seem a bit hazy for me. Hmmmm.... Anywho, these guys still inhabit my cd players and they will continue to for a long time. Well, I guess no news is good news???? I hope... |

| 3 June 2004 OK, I really feel guilty for not even paying attention to this site for over a year!!! Work gets in the way - but now that I'm off for summer vacation...its on! I don't think anyone actually reads this but me - but oh well - its fun! :) Alright - I am so PUMPED for this summer to begin its not even funny! First of all, the band has done tons of things just in the past few months! Coachella, The HFStival - man I wish I was there! Tonight they will appear on the Pepsi Smash thing at 7pm CST. And in a few days they will appear on - get this - MTV!!! Didn't think you'd ever see them on MTV again eh? June 14th. Can't wait to see that - its "The Cure - Making the Video". The Cure's "The Cure" album set to be released June 28th in Europe, and 29th in America. And if you haven't picked up your copy of The Cure's "Join the Dots" CD, you don't know what you are missing!!!! |

| 31 July 2004 The Bristish Invasion has commenced!!! The Curiosa Festival began a few days ago and I just can't wait!! The new album is absolutely glorious - definitely up there with the favorites. Of course I'm a little different - my favorite album is Seventeen Seconds - kinda the "smaller" of The Cure albums. But anyway - The Houston show is approaching on August 15th!! Can't wait! Also The Cure is scheduled to play in MEXICO!!! I am so happy for Mexico - they have been waiting for a long time. Next... Japan??? Mexico's first show sold out in under 3 hours - they opened a new show for the following night - tickets going fast for that one too! Well hope everyone is enjoying all the new Cure schtuff - single...album...FESTIVAL!!! Enjoy....and smile!!! THE CURE IS NEAR!! |

| 24 March 2007 ok...its been three years since I updated this page...holy crap! My Curiosa Recap Experience - Houston 2004 ok...Just to follow up to the last post, the Curiosa Festival in Houston was an absolute dream! I got a pit ticket and went solo to the show. Luckily I hooked up with a group of people and we all kinda took care of each other - held each other's spot when one had to step out or whatever. Anyhow, I had stopped and bought a bouquet of roses to give to the band. Held on to them the entire day - surprised they didn't wilt too much. I got a lot of funny looks throughout the day too. I didn't care though! I was pumped about being so close!!! And as soon as the music started to play, I started to completely freak out! I knew something would happen. Robert and the boys stepped out...Robert walked out to my right, looked like he shook a few hands, then bypassed me and stepped to my left - and i couldn't see really - and then - I saw - his shoes - and the blood seemed to drain from my face - and I looked up to see Robert smiling so sweetly at me as he took the roses from me and mouthed what seemed a very sincere "Thank You" and nodded. He stood back up and kept looking at me - almost with pity - like "you poor crazy girl" - as I was still reaching up to try to touch him - and then he reached down again (again it seemed out of pure pity for me) and GRABBED MY HAND!!! It may have been only 3 seconds - but MAN!!!! It was a life altering moment for me! I was surrounded by complete strangers who all gave me their best support - some patted me on the back, some hugged me as I, who turned into a teenager again, proceeded to weep. DAMN!!! He made a grown woman cry!!!! I would have loved to have tried to find them later after the show but alas I did not know which hotel to go to - so I was at a loss!!! I went to the wrong one! But it was a great experience - the music was fabulous - I can't believe they played Charlotte Sometimes - that was THE BEST EVER!!! Since all that - there have been many happenings with the band. Roger and Perry both quit. Porl rejoined the band and they have been working on another album due out later this year. They have also done a lot of re-releasing of their older albums - remastering and adding more b-sides and previously unreleased material. Not to mention, they joined KORN on their MTV Unplugged video. And they have done a few festivals here and there throughout Europe. In fact, they just headlined The Ultra Music Festival the 23 March in Miami. I pray I can get a bootleg of that!!! But I am still waiting for them to visit the states again. Seems they space it out about every 4 years or so. It is rumoured that there will be a US tour this fall, but it is still not confirmed. But I will be there when they do come back to Houston. And I will buy a pit ticket again and try to have another close encounter as before. Until then, I will be here...waiting... |
