Jason Baillargeon
Birthplace :  Ottawa, Ontario
Hometown : Stittsville, Ontario
Occupation : Student
Coach : Grits McMullen
Jason began riding at the age of 10 and he has not looked back since. He has moved up the ranks starting with his pony in the locan Short Stirrup division to representing Canada internationally claiming many championships along the way. Jason's greatest success in the show ring came with Lurame, the last horse he owned. Both horse and rider made their debut in the jumper ring and quickly began to dominate the local circuit with a series of consecutive championships to top the standings. Championships were won both nationally and provincially, including the 1995 Mini-Prix Class at the Provincial Championships. Due to financial realities, Jason was forced to pass Lurame on to a new owner after the 1996 show season.

Jason represented Canada VERY well at the World Championships in Mechelen Belgium in 2002 where he placed 8th over all. CONGRATS Jason!

Janet Rowe
Birthplace : Toronto, Ontario
Hometown : Toronto, Ontario
Occupation : Student
Janet began riding at the young age of three when her hapless parents put her on a pony at Centre Island in Toronto... there was no turning back. She has been involved with horses for as long as she can remember and after saving up for 4 years, bought her first horse at the age of 14.
Her serious showing started on the Arab circuits and she did  a stint on the Pinto Association Circuit as well. Her main area was the Hunter ring where she took away many Championships over the years.
For the last 10 years she has been working mainly with younger, green horses  introducing them to the show ring.
Janet has shown from the schooling levels to National levels to representing Canada Internationally in Watergrasshill, Ireland as well as in Dublin Ireland. She placed 9th cross country and helped her team on their way to a 2nd place overall finish.
At the moment she is currently working with two of her own horses whom she is bringing along as serious candidates for the jumper and eventing disciplines.
In 2002, Janet was nominated and voted in as the new Technical Director of CURCA. Janet also runs Saving Grace Equine Rescue which she started in 2000.

Claire Danby

Occupation - student
Claire is yet another rider to have started at an early age. She was introduced to riding by her mother at the age of 5. She joined the Pony Club and started competing regularly with her pony Billy Jack. One of the last competitions Claire did with her pony was a combined training event - she was hooked.
While in high school, Claire competed with her next horse Snap Decision at the Pre-training level. She qualified for the Eastern Canadian Pony Club Championships as well as for several Pre-Training Championships in Ontario and the Ontario Talent Squad.
In 2000 Claire became a member of CURCA and competed representing Canada in the AIEC Nations Cup in Vienna, Austria. Claire placed 8th in Show Jumping and a great 18th overall.
Jen Arbuckle became a member of CURCA in 2002 and competed in  September2002 in Rome Italy. She did very well after riding with an injury and having to deal with a very green horse.

Jen has been riding for 20 years and in 1991 the Alberta Show Jumping Association named her Spring Junior Champion. Riding her TB "Renaissance" she has brought home awards in both the Hunter and Jumper arena. Working steadily with this aggressive TB, she brought him up to the 4' - 4'3" level and has success with him there as well.

Currently Jen trains young horses for clients, teaches riding lessons from beginners up to the Intermediate level and is bringing along her young horse "Infanta" whom she hopes to start in the Low Jumpers this year.
