Tolkien geeks of NW Ohio unite! This day was a total blast. Kelly and Alex (Rosie and Arwen) were the first people in line at 8am. I was planning on being there at 8, but my Elf ears weren't complying, so Jon (Generic Gondorian/Faramir), Chris (mundane) and I arrived a wee bit late. Three an' a half hours of rain, wind, and frizzing Elf hair (dammit!) later, we rushed in to get the best seats in the theater. I'm embarrassed to say my Mom ran faster than I did. However, I can happily report that there were several other costumers there, and (unlike the stupid Two Towers premiere) this time, everyone was very friendly.
