Sam & Rosie (aka Matt & Kelly)
This is my thrift store Sam and pattern-less Rosie. Everything Sam is wearing (not including the cloak) was pieced together out of stuff we had in our closets and a bit of thrift store shopping. Not too shabby, given it took a bit of convincing to get Mattwise to dress up.
The skirt that Kelly is wearing was made using the Hobbit skirt pattern given on Alleycatscratch (click here), the white peasant blouse under the bodice was bought on Ebay (*blush* I was in a hurry!) and I made the bodice from scratch, using one of her old t-shirts as a pattern. It laces up in the back like a corset, and the keyhole is tied off with ribbon. Instead of piping, I used some of my machine's nifty stitch selections. I'm so stoked at how well the bodice and skirt turned out given just about everything I did was new to me. *modest* *modest* :)
