This name derives from the age of the players in the original team, most of whom could have played Veterans football (37 years young and over). Now in our third season we are a mixture of old and younger players. Time does not stand still for the real Old Gits!
The philosophy of the team is to enjoy the social side as much as the game.

We play at Cupids Country Club, Love Lane, Great Wakering, Essex, England. Hence the name of our club.
For information, our first team is 'normal' (not Old Gits) and play in Division 2 of the Southend Borough Football Combination. The Old Gits play in Division 4.

Well, Cupids 2nds are the
C H A M P I O N ' S
of League Division 5.
The Borough Comb Committee have recently decided that the match points for the match against Leigh Town should be awarded to Cupids FC as Leigh fielded too many first team players. This makes Cupids the Champs!

Now the new season looms close. To date all players are staying with the team, with the exception of Matt Hanning, who will be sadly missed.
Now promoted to Division 4 how will the Old Gits fare?
