The Stone Roses, Brixton Academy,
12 August 1995
The stone roses were good but there are clearly a few problems with the band. John Squire has a rock god complex and is wound up by the attention Ian Brown receives from the crowd.
I can see an imminent split in the band, which may result in Squire leaving to form a very average indie band with a very short shelf life, possibly the name of the band being some sort of disguised insult signifying his frustration at the demise of the relationships within the roses.
Ian Brown after a brief career in gardening will probably return to the music scene and have quite significant success until he makes some sort of stupid comment and/or threatens to kill someone, he will then spend the rest of  his life trying to apologise for his mistakes when no-one will be too bothered after a while.
Mani will almost certainly join another already successful band and claw a career from them for the rest of his life.
All in all a rather sad end to a band that have clearly changed the course of music history. Never mind, eh?
