| We thought there was a parade like we were used to but we think the people parade around to look at the floats, that were scattered in the center of town. Anyway, they were beautiful floats, some made entirely of flowers, some like the ones in Mobile and New Orleans. The kids all were dressed in Halloween type costumes, though nothing scary, and almost everyone wore a crazy hat, including us. They like to silly string folks, we got stringed and did some stringing ourselves. They also throw confetti like crazy and hit people on top of the head with foam or blow up hammers. There were all kinds of stands with candies, nuts, etc, for sale and lots of the cheap toy souvenirs. It was interesting. Connor really got into silly stringing other kids; I got bopped on the head and and stringed quite a few times, Ryan even got in on the action. Ronnie of course did it all too. | ||||||||||||||||
