BOOK CLUB We are still going strong with Book Club activities! We've had numerous meetings and some offshoot get togethers included a really great holiday party over Christmas/New Years and a SkyWatch last August and this past September a great cookout at Bonnie S's house.
Our very first meeting of the book club was a success! Everyone enjoyed themselves and as Diane put it its exciting meeting with people who are passionate in searching for "the truth. We met at the Family Tree Restaurant in Amherst on Bailey Ave. The book proposed was The Worlds Best UFO Cases by Dwight Connelly. We agreed on a plan of action and to continue to meet at the same restaurant and it was also agreed that we would meet the 1st Saturday of every month. The next date we met was 02/04, and again, a great time was had discussing the cases we had agreed on from the previous book. Lots of ideas flowed along with the coffee and we were all looking forward to starting in on the next title: Edward Ruppelts The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects. Find it online at http://www.nicap.org/rufo/contents.htm. The next date we met was 4/1 and the book discussed was Dark Object about the Shag Harbour incident. We took the month of May off from the bookclub as the MUFON meeting had been scheduled for the first week of May. For June, we discussed Colm Kelleher's "Hunt for the Skinwalker." For July - the book is The Abduction Enigma by Kevin Randle et al.
Please consider joining us for some great discussion over breakfast! |
